The problem

Why Dmytro Fil created the Factoryx.

Every day, we encounter hundreds of news stories, posts, videos, and messages online. Some of them are reliable, while others contain misleading or completely false information. With so much content appearing every minute, it can be difficult to quickly understand what we can trust. This problem is especially important in Ukraine, where information has become part of the modern digital war. Propaganda, fake news, and manipulated content can influence public opinion, create fear, and change the way people understand important events. False information can spread quickly, often reaching thousands of people before it can be properly checked.I became interested in this problem because misinformation can influence not only what people believe, but also the decisions they make. For me, it is important to understand not only whether information is true, but also where it comes from and what sources support it.When I started working on this, I wanted to make information verification faster, simpler, and more accessible. That’s when I got the idea to explore how AI could help with that.

The invention

How the Factoryx works.

Factoryx is an AI-powered software system designed to help users check the accuracy of information and online claims. The system analyzes a claim using AI technologies and information from multiple sources, then provides the user with a fact-checking result. I developed a four-tier system with a dual-interface: Factoryx is available through a website and a Telegram bot, making it possible to verify information directly from different devices. The project also includes a comparison of AI services, automated source verification, adaptive multilingual interfaces, and additional tools for making the verification process more reliable. To test the system, I compared Perplexity AI and Google Gemini using 20 statements and later tested Factoryx with 50 users. The results showed that the system could provide a fast and useful way to check information before trusting or sharing it.

Information shapes what people believe, so I wanted to make it easier to question what we see online
