UKRIC signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kyiv Aviation Institute
Ukraine Invention Convention (UKRIC) and the Kyiv Aviation Institute (KAI) have agreed on cooperation aimed at supporting young inventors, developing their projects, and creating new opportunities for the practical implementation of ideas.
The signing of the memorandum became another step toward expanding UKRIC’s partnership network and involving leading educational and scientific institutions in the development of youth inventorship in Ukraine.
New opportunities for young inventors
One of the areas of cooperation will be supporting UKRIC Inventors Cup 2026/7 participants from Kyiv. In particular, this involves the opportunity to work on their inventions in the modern laboratories of the Kyiv Aviation Institute. This will help young people improve their developments, work on prototypes, and gain practical experience in a scientific and technical environment.
The parties also discussed the possibility of holding the next stages of the UKRIC competitions on the university’s premises. Another potential area of cooperation is involving KAI’s teachers and specialists in providing mentorship support to competition participants.
Thanks to this cooperation, young inventors will be able to receive more practical support, become familiar with university infrastructure, and develop their ideas with the help of experienced specialists.
Partnership for the development of innovation in Ukraine

For UKRIC, cooperation with educational and scientific institutions is an important component of supporting talented youth. Combining students’ ideas, mentorship experience, and the capabilities of university laboratories creates conditions for turning concepts into real inventions.
UKRIC hopes for fruitful cooperation with the Kyiv Aviation Institute, which will contribute to the development of engineering thinking, creative potential, and a culture of inventorship among Ukrainian youth.
Join the UKRIC Inventors Cup 2026/7
Registration for the UKRIC Inventors Cup 2026/7 is ongoing. Students in grades 9–11 who have an idea for their own invention and want to turn it into a real project are invited to participate.
Competition participants will work on their ideas with the support of mentors, develop prototypes, and compete for the opportunity to present their inventions at the national final. Five winners will have the opportunity to travel to the USA and present their developments.
Have an idea? Turn it into a real invention!
