Pinger is a messenger with the option to choose AES or ChaCha20 encryption and create chats via NFC. Already available on Google Play and the App Store!
I created Pinger because I was missing convenient features that I hadn't seen in other messengers. At some point I thought: if the messenger I need doesn't exist, it's easier to create it myself.
I have always taken security and privacy very seriously. For me, having just one encryption option isn't enough, so Pinger already lets you choose between AES and ChaCha20.By the end of autumn, I plan to expand this idea: add a third algorithm and a multi-layer encryption constructor. Users will be able to choose up to five layers themselves, change their order, and even repeat algorithms. This will provide up to 363 different encryption configurations for each chat. My goal is to create a messenger where the user has full control over exactly how their messages are protected.
They sometimes call me a “new Steve Jobs” — probably because I create what I'm missing.
— Михайло ФасоляPinger is a messenger in which the user decides for themselves exactly how to protect each individual chat. The main innovation of Pinger is its multi-level encryption constructor. Instead of a single fixed method of protection, the user can combine algorithms, change their order, and repeat them across several layers. With three algorithms and up to five layers, this gives up to 363 different encryption configurations for each chat. At the same time, the user doesn't need to understand cryptography or complex technical settings. Everything works through a simple and clear constructor: you choose the algorithms you need and their order — Pinger automatically applies the created protection scheme. In this way, Pinger doesn't impose a single method of protection, but gives the user the ability to decide for themselves how to protect their messages. A separate configuration can be created for each chat. Voice calls are also protected according to the chat's settings. Another feature of Pinger is creating a chat using NFC. Simply bring two phones close to each other to quickly create a chat without searching by phone number or username. Pinger also has other small features and details that distinguish it from ordinary messengers. The best way to get to know the project is to try Pinger yourself:Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.misha.pingerApp Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6812900496
